Edward Scissorhands

Here at Sprocket we are up for any challenge. So when small business owner Edward came to us for help we were more than happy to oblige. Edward runs a trendy, old school barber shop called Edward Scissorhands. As somewhat of an icon in the area business was booming, they were often so busy that Edward’s scissors never left his hands. He was in such high demand that managing and coping with booking customers was becoming an issue.

Edward needed his clients to be able to simply and easily make appointments but in a way that did not take up too much of Edwards’s time. Edward and his scissor hands clearly didn’t have time to write bookings down himself, he needed a solution.

He decided to have a self-service tablet in the store allowing customers to make bookings themselves. However it couldn’t just be any old stand or enclosure for the tablet however, it needed to be secure, functional, good looking and of course black!

The obvious choice for such a job… Sprocket.

Sprocket worked closely with Edward to create the perfect stand and enclosure for him and the store. Sprocket custom designed a sleek solution for the stand and enclosure working to Edwards’s instruction but also guiding him through the best functional fit for him. The Sprocket team considered everything from custom parts created in matte black to suit Edwards’s style and even creating a shorter stem for the stand in order to fit with the shopping centre’s requirements.

Sprocket aimed to make the design and implementation easy and swift. Edward was in love with the end product. The finished stand was sleek and beautiful, keeping in style with Edward and the store.
